Could build up to 15 million electric cars: Volkswagen

German carmaker Volkswagen on Friday said that it could build up to 15 million electric cars over several years on its new electric vehicle production platform. Earlier, Volkswagen CEO Herbert Diess had said that the company could build 50 million electric cars. "Diess meant to say 15 million, not 50 million cars," a company spokesperson said.
