Counting of votes for 70-seat Delhi Assembly elections begins

The counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly elections has begun. Voting had taken place for the 70-member Assembly in one phase on February 8. Overall voter turnout in the Assembly poll was estimated at 62.59% compared to 67.5% in 2015. As many as 672 candidates including 79 women fought the elections.
