Couple hacked Holiday Inn-owner IHG's tech systems via a weak password 'for fun'

A couple from Vietnam, who allegedly hacked the technical systems of Holiday Inn owner InterContinental Hotels Group, said they did it "for fun". The couple said that they first tried a ransomware attack and then deleted large amounts of data after they were foiled. While they claimed that they accessed IHG's databases via a weak password, Qwerty1234, IHG refuted this.
