Boris Kanev and Marta Samalea, a couple from Bulgaria hitch-hiked to India without a smartphone. They used basic maps to hitch-hike and trek through countries such as Turkey, Myanmar, China, Iraq and reached India in 511 days. Their journey began in October 2013. The couple only used an old basic phone to keep their families updated about their well-being.
