Couple publicly caned 21 times each in Indonesia for kissing on TikTok livestream

A 22-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were publicly caned 21 times each in Indonesia’s Aceh province after a Sharia court convicted them of violating Islamic law by kissing during a TikTok livestream. The couple was arrested in April after the video filmed inside in a car in February had gone viral. At least 100 people watched the caning.
