Couple quits pharma, earns ₹12,000/day from mushrooms in Haridwar
After working for 8 years in the pharma sector, Vibhor, an MBA and Sarika Chauhan, with MCom degree, shifted to button mushroom farming in 2019 when their pilot project yielded excellent results. Seeing the high demand, they set up a climate-controlled unit in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, which produces up to 150 kg of mushrooms daily, generating average revenues of ₹12,000 per day.
