Coursera, Udemy enter merger agreement valued at around $2.5 bn

Online education platform Coursera and AI skills acceleration platform Udemy have entered into a definitive merger agreement in an all-stock transaction. The implied equity value of the combined company now stands at approximately $2.5 billion. The transaction is expected to close by the second half of the next year, subject to the receipt of required regulatory approvals.
