Court bans couple from naming their baby 'Piyé' over potential ridicule in Brazil

A Brazilian court banned Catarina and Danillo Primola from naming their baby after Egypt's first Black Pharaoh 'Piyé', who'd ruled the region for 30 years. The court said it wouldn't permit parents to "register first names that could expose their bearers to ridicule". It added the name's pronunciation is similar to 'plié', a Portuguese word for a ballet dance step.
