Court convicts Medha Patkar in defamation case filed by Delhi L-G

A court in Delhi has convicted Narmada Bachao Andolan leader Medha Patkar in connection with a defamation case filed by L-G VK Saxena. Patkar and Saxena have been in a legal battle since 2000. Last year, Gujarat High Court granted interim relief to Saxena by staying criminal trial proceedings against him in a case regarding the alleged assault on Patkar.
