Court restrains Flipkart from using MarQ brand name

A Delhi court has restrained Flipkart from using the brand name 'MarQ' until February 5 after electronics manufacturer Marc Enterprises alleged that it violated its trademark. The court said there is a phonetic similarity between the plaintiff's trademark Marc and Flipkart's MarQ brand name. Flipkart's lawyers reportedly argued that the names are spelt differently and aren't "deceptively similar."
