COVID-19 aid sent abroad 'quietly' to avoid protests by China: Taiwan

Taiwan has sent coronavirus aid to other countries "quietly" to avoid protests from China, Taiwanese Foreign Minister Joseph Wu said. Taiwan has donated 5.1 crore face masks abroad, including 1 crore masks to the US, along with other items of personal protective equipment, Wu added. China claims Taiwan as its own territory and reportedly seeks to isolate the island diplomatically.
