COVID-19 infection rate rises in Spain to ‘very high risk’ level

Spain’s COVID-19 infection rate on Friday rose above 500 per 100,000 people, a level deemed “very high risk” by the country’s Health Ministry. There were 33,359 new infections and 41 deaths on Friday, as per the Health Ministry’s data. The infection rate, measured over the previous 14 days, reached 511 cases per 100,000 people on Friday.
