Covishield dose gap can be reduced to 8-16 weeks from 12-16 weeks: Expert body

India's top expert body on immunisation NTAGI has recommended reducing the gap between the first and second Covishield vaccine doses to between eight and 16 weeks, as per reports. Currently, the second vaccine dose is administered between 12 and 16 weeks after the first. No change has been suggested in the dose gap of Covaxin, PTI reported.
