Cow smuggler shot by UP police while trying to escape, arrested

A cow smuggler, identified as Sufiyan was arrested on Sunday after being shot at by police in UP's Jaunpur as he tried to escape. He was caught when police were conducting a checking drive after receiving inputs regarding the movement of cattle smugglers. On being surrounded by police officials, Sufiyan started firing prompting an attack by police in self-defence.
