Crabs can feel pain: Scientists as they call for humane ways of cooking
Scientists have urged for more humane methods of cooking shellfish after confirming that crabs can feel pain. Boiling lobsters and crabs alive has been a common method of killing them for years. This comes after researchers at University of Gothenburg found that pain stimuli are sent to the brains of shore crabs when their claws, antennae, and legs are stressed.
