Credit line to aid firms amid US-Iran war gave 4.11 lakh guarantees: Govt
The government's emergency credit guarantee programme for supporting small businesses facing difficulties due to US-Iran war issued 4,11,497 guarantees worth ₹1.55 lakh crore in two months. The Ministry of Finance showed the scheme's absorption across the lending ecosystem. The centre approved an outlay of ₹18,100 crore to provide liquidity support worth ₹2.55 lakh crore in May 2026.
