Credit Suisse Chairman gives up $1.6 mn award after bank's poor performance
Axel Lehmann, the Chairman of Credit Suisse, is forgoing a payment of 1.5 million Swiss francs ($1.6 million) for his first full year on the job. Lehmann voluntarily chose to forgo the award after the bank reported its worst annual performance since the 2008 financial crisis. Lehmann's revised total compensation for 2022-23 now stands at CHF 3.8 million ($4.1 million).
