Cricket ball-sized black fungus removed from man's brain in Bihar, patient stable
Doctors at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) in Bihar's Patna successfully removed mucormycosis or black fungus from the brain of a 60-year-old infected patient. The size of the fungus was equivalent to a cricket ball and the surgery took three hours. The patient is currently stable and his eyes remained unharmed during the surgery, the hospital said.
