India Women all-rounder Deepti Sharma has been appointed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Uttar Pradesh Police. She was also awarded a cash prize of ₹3 crore for India's gold medal victory in Hangzhou Asian Games. Deepti took to X (formerly Twitter) to share pictures of herself receiving the appointment letter and prize money from UP CM Yogi Adityanath.
