Crime Branch takes over probe in IIT Bombay student's suicide

The Mumbai Police has officially transferred the case of the alleged suicide of a second-year BTech student at IIT Bombay to the Crime Branch, saying an ACP-level officer will now lead the investigation. The student's father had earlier accused Professor Suryanarayan Doolla of making casteist remarks against him. The professor has been named in the abetment of suicide case.
