Criminal shoots self to escape police in Gurugram, held after he survives

A 27-year-old suspected criminal allegedly shot himself in a bid to escape police on a rooftop in Gurugram. He shot himself twice and survived, following which he was taken to a hospital where his condition was stable, police said. The man and his associate were on the run after they allegedly shot a person over a personal rivalry.
