Crisis-hit Himachal Pradesh govt asks temples for funds, BJP criticises Congress

The Congress-led Himachal Pradesh government, which is facing monetary crisis, has asked temple trusts to contribute to 'Mukhya Mantri Sukh Aashray' and 'Mukhya Mantri Sukh Shiksha Yojana', according to a notification issued in January. Calling this decision bizarre, BJP's Jairam Thakur said, "On one hand, Congress' leaders insult sanatan dharma...and on other, they want to use temple donations."
