Crocodiles enter residential areas in Haridwar as Ganga floods
Crocodiles entered residential areas of Laksar and Khanpur regions of Uttarakhand's Haridwar district after the Ganga river was flooded following heavy rainfall in the region. The forest department has been catching the reptiles and releasing them back into the rivers. "So far, around a dozen crocodiles have been captured from the populated areas," a forest department official said.
