Crops in 48.19 lakh hectares affected,’ K’taka CM to Amit Shah

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Wednesday, 20 December, called on Home Minister Amit Shah, requesting him to sanction early drought relief of ₹18,177.44 crore to the state. Wednesday’s meeting follows his meeting with PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday. He said that the state submitted a memorandum seeking ₹18,177.44 crore three months ago and requested the Centre to expedite the matter.
