Crypto kingpin Aleksej Besciokov, wanted by US, arrested in Kerala

Lithuanian national Aleksej Besciokov, a crypto kingpin wanted by the US, was arrested by the CBI and Kerala Police from Kerala. His crypto exchange Garantex allegedly facilitated money laundering by transnational criminal organisations, including terrorist organisations. Besciokov was residing in Russia, according to the US' recent indictment, and it's unclear when and why he came to India.
