Crypto market loses over $2 trillion in 8 months, erasing wealth equal to half of India's GDP

The cryptocurrency market has lost over $2 trillion in value since October 2025, according to The Kobeissi Letter. Total crypto market capitalisation fell from $4.3 trillion to about $2.2 trillion, wiping out nearly half its value. The decline is roughly equivalent to half of India's GDP, estimated at around $4.15 trillion, reported NDTV Profit.
