CSK fail to reach IPL playoffs for 3rd year in a row

CSK have officially crashed out of IPL 2026 after suffering an 89-run defeat against GT in their last league stage match on Thursday. GT posted a total of 229/4 and dismissed CSK for 140 in 13.4 overs. CSK accumulated 12 points in 14 matches in IPL 2026 and have now gone three seasons in a row without reaching playoffs.
