Cuba receives rice shipment from China amid US blockade

Cuba on Saturday received 15,000 tonnes of rice from China amid an oil blockade and pressure from the US administration. Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel confirmed the shipment and also expressed deep gratitude to China and its people. US has increased sanctions on Cuba, and the country has faced severe blackouts, with 70% of its territory remaining without power last week.
