Cut Google employees' salary: Billionaire to Google CEO Pichai in viral letter
British billionaire hedge fund manager Christopher Hohn has advised Google and Alphabet's CEO Sundar Pichai to fire more employees and "materially reduce compensation per employee". In a letter, Hohn wrote, "The median salary at Alphabet in 2021 amounted to nearly $300,000, and the average salary is much higher." He added, "In particular, Alphabet should limit stock-based compensation."
