CWG silver medallist Sarvesh once trained on makeshift pit made of agricultural waste

Sarvesh Kushare, who won India's first-ever silver medal in high jump at Commonwealth Games, once trained on makeshift landing pit as his family could not afford a landing mat. The makeshift pit was made by his farmer father using old clothes, corn husks and agricultural waste. Sarvesh's career changed after joining Indian Army in 2016, where he received professional coaching.
