Cyclone Jawad likely to make landfall near Odisha's Puri on Dec 5: IMD

A low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal has intensified into cyclonic storm Jawad, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Friday. The IMD added that Cyclone Jawad is expected to make landfall near Puri coast in Odisha around noon on December 5. A red alert has been issued for the Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri and Jagatsinghpur districts of Odisha.
