Cyclone Nisarga has intensified into severe cyclonic storm: IMD

The IMD on Wednesday said Cyclone Nisarga has intensified into a "severe cyclonic storm". It's approaching the North Maharashtra coast with a speed of 13 kmph and is expected to make landfall in the afternoon, IMD added. "People are advised to remain indoors but mobilise evacuation from low lying areas," said Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Earth Sciences.
