Cyclone Remal makes landfall in West Bengal, uproots trees

Severe cyclonic storm 'Remal' made landfall between the coasts of Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal with winds gusting up to 135 kilometres per hour, bringing heavy rains. Videos showing waterlogging and trees uprooted in Kolkata surfaced. The landfall process began at 8:30 pm on Sunday. Nearly a million people were evacuated over the past two days due to the cyclone.
