Cyclone Yaas makes landfall, heavy rain & gusty winds hit Odisha

Odisha witnessed heavy rain and gusty winds as Cyclone Yaas made landfall on Wednesday. India Meteorological Department (IMD) said landfall process commenced around 9 am. Heavy rains and strong winds hit Odisha’s Chandipur, Balasore, Bhadrak and Paradeep. Meanwhile, sea turned rough at Digha in Bengal’s Purba Medinipur. The Indian Navy provided relief material for Cyclone Yaas affected people.
