Dabur Hajmola candy ayurvedic medicine or candy, probes DGGI

Dabur's Hajmola candy is under investigation by the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) over its GST classification, CNBC-TV18 reported on Friday. The Coimbatore zone of the DGGI is currently investigating whether Hajmola candy should be treated as ayurvedic medicine attracting 12% GST or as a candy attracting 18% GST. Dabur reportedly claimed that Hajmola is an ayurvedic medicine.
