Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu make anti-cow slaughter laws stricter

The merged Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu will now have stricter provisions in its law against cow slaughter, the MHA notified on Tuesday. The UT has put a ban on transportation of a cow, calf, heifer, bull, bullock and ox for its slaughter and has imposed higher penalties on violation of the new law.
