Dalai Lama's official residence in Tibet shut due to virus outbreak

The Potala Palace in Tibet, Dalai Lama's official residence, has been shut from Monday until further notice to prevent the spread of coronavirus, local authorities said. The palace is a major tourist attraction and is home to reportedly 1,00,000 pieces of cultural relics. The virus outbreak began in China's Wuhan city and has claimed the lives of over 80 people.
