Dale Steyn opts out of IPL 2021, clarifies he is not retiring

South African pacer Dale Steyn has pulled out of IPL 2021, saying he's "taking some time off" during that period. Clarifying he is not retiring, Steyn tweeted, "I'll be playing in other leagues, nicely spaced out to give myself an opportunity to do things I've been excited about as well as continue to play the game I love so much."
