Darpan Jain to now negotiate with US for the India-US trade deal

Commerce Ministry Joint Secretary Darpan Jain will now lead the Indian side during deliberations on the India-US trade deal. The 2001-batch IAS officer of the Karnataka cadre will replace Rajesh Agrawal, who has now been appointed as the ministry's Secretary and will supervise the negotiation. A high-level delegation from US will deliberate with India in Delhi on Wednesday and Thursday.
