Data centres to drive 30-35% of global fibre demand: Report
Moneycontrol reported that data centres could account for 30-35% of global fibre demand over the next few years, driven by rising data usage. This comes amid Indian fibre optics makers like HFCL increasing their fibre manufacturing capacity from 28 million to 34 million fibre kilometres. The company plans a capital expenditure of around ₹700-800 crore over the next three years.
