Daughter-in-law not legally obligated to give maintenance to parents-in-law: HC

The Allahabad High Court has commented that a daughter-in-law is not legally obligated to give maintenance to her in-laws. The court was hearing a petition from an elderly couple that sought maintenance from their daughter-in-law after their son's demise in 2021. They argued their daughter-in-law, who's a UP Police constable, got service benefits after her husband's death.
