David Schwimmer was the first to be cast in 'Friends'
Actor David Schwimmer, who turned 51 on Wednesday, was the first to be cast in the American television sitcom 'Friends'. He played the role of Ross Geller in the series, which aired for ten seasons starting from 1994. Executive producer Kevin Bright, who had worked with the actor before, revealed that the writers developed Ross' character keeping Schwimmer in mind.
