Dayananda reinstated, but won’t return as Bengaluru police chief

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara confirmed on Tuesday that senior IPS officer B Dayananda will not be reinstated as Bengaluru Police Commissioner, though his suspension has been officially revoked. Speaking to reporters, Parameshwara clarified that Dayananda will instead be appointed to a role that aligns with his rank and seniority.
