DDA carries out demolition drive in Delhi's Dhobi Ghat slum

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Thursday carried out a demolition drive in Jamia Nagar's Dhobi Ghat slum area. There are around 200 temporary structures on DDA land, DDA officials said. "Everyone was informed in advance and the drive went smoothly," DCP South-East district RP Meena said. However, residents alleged that they were not given time to collect their belongings.
