Dead man booked for cheating investors of ₹82.5 lakh promising high returns in Thane

A deceased person has been booked for allegedly cheating nine investors of ₹82.5 lakh by promising them lucrative returns in Maharashtra's Thane, police said on Friday. According to an official, accused died on December 4 while the investigation was underway. The deceased man reportedly took the money from the investors but didn't return the money or any profits, FIR stated.
