Deadly bacteria growing in US lakes, rivers; many beaches closed

Deadly bacteria such as E. coli and cyanobacteria are causing widespread closures of several lakes and rivers in US over the weeks. This comes as the bacteria growth is spurred by the warmer waters and stronger rains, fuelled by climate change. The bacteria can cause several symptoms like blisters, rashes, diarrhoea, muscle weakness, liver damage and more.
