Deadly drug-resistant fungus spreading at alarming rate in US: CDC

A drug-resistant fungus known as Candida auris is spreading rapidly through healthcare facilities in the United States, study by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stated. The percentage of clinical cases grew each year, with a staggering 95% increase in 2021 alone, it stated. The rise was seen not just in areas of ongoing transmission but also in new areas.
