Dearness Allowance for Karnataka govt employees hiked by 2.75% to 27.25%

The Karnataka government on Tuesday announced a 2.75% hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) payable to its employees in the revised 2018 pay scales and under the seventh pay commission. Employees will now get 27.25% DA with effect from January 1 this year. This comes days after PM Narendra Modi approved a 3% hike in DA for central government employees.
