Death penalty for techie who raped and murdered 7-year-old

The Madras High Court has upheld the death penalty for 23-year-old Chennai engineer S Dashwanth, who raped and killed his seven-year-old neighbour in February last year. Dashwanth was given a death sentence by a local court in February, which he challenged in the upper court. He is also accused of murdering his mother and fleeing with her jewellery.
