Death toll from storm Megi in Philippines reaches 123

The death toll from tropical storm Megi that struck the Philippines has reached up to 123. As many as 86 people were killed and 236 injured in Baybay in Leyte province, said the government. The Philippine Army is carrying out the search and rescue operations. Over 1.62 lakh displaced people have reportedly taken shelter in the evacuation centres.
